Artificial intelligence, machine learning & sentiment analysis: towards artificial emotional intelligence?
Defined as “the ability to identify and manage its own emotions and the emotions of others”, Emotional Intelligence (EI) is regarded as an essential component of human intelligence and thus of any personal or professional success. In the past few decades, the methods of measuring sentiment have been at the leading edge of research and development: What works today? What doesn’t work? How does it work? What about tomorrow? We will discuss existing and developing solutions using artificial intelligence to estimate emotions. We will take a close look at a practical case of sentiment analysis on textual data. We will thus see how this can be generalised to any type of data and to many objectives as well as the underlying issues for the company.
