Design a sheep for me
At the crossroads between art, technology and society one of computing flagship themes, design, is at the forefront of Web2day.
SUMMARY OF DESIGN TALKS BY DAY
WEDNESDAY, 13th JUNE
Morning – Chapitalk Room
From 9:50 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. , a morning of talks to open the festival.
From 9:50 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. we begin with talks about reality and identity. Why are these themes correlated with design? Thomas Buvignier will explain the importance of design in encouraging micro-interactions with consumers. For those who love UX and UI, or who would like to undestand what these terms mean…go to the talk “There’s no magic, everything is in the detail“.
From 11:10 a.m. to 11:50 a.m., Maaike Dufour will be discussing the importance of quality interfaces in applications which make use of the user’s voice.
From 11:50 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Steph Throet will talk about the theory of “jobs to be done” (“JBTD”). Jobs To Be Done “offers a means of breaking down the complex reasons for which a person might “pick” a product for completing a “job” and methods of identifying strategic opportunities”.
